AboutThe Minnesota Science Fiction Society (Minn-StF, MN-StF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to furthering the appreciation of science fiction and fantasy literature. Minn-Stf was founded in 1966 and we've been active in the worldwide community of science fiction fandom ever since.
We sponsor twice monthly parties/meetings in the Twin Cities. We also throw two conventions each year: Minicon and usually a Fallcon (currently called Conjecture).

This community is meant for announcements and discussion of Minn-StF events. Also on topic: discussion of the lives and work of Minn-StF members ("[so-and-so] has a new book out" or "I'm sad to report that [Joe Fan] is in the hospital" and "does anyone have contact info for [Jophan]?" and other stuff like that).
Discussion of Minn-StF conventions and announcements about them are also appropriate here, though there is a separate LJ community for![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif?v=92.2)
minicon and we suggest that it's the best place all things Minicon.
For general chit-chat among Minn-StF members, we recommend the natter email list. Other Minn-StF email lists, etc. are listed on the website.
For announcements of interest to the entire community of Minnesota science fiction fans, we suggest you check outmnsf.
